What Is Google PageRank (PR) And How Can I Increase Pagerank?

In order for Google to determine where your website should rank when a search result in your site coming up in the search engine, they needed to find a common factor that differentiate between websites.
One such factor they found was that certain sites is more important than others. Now all they need was a way to describe the level of authority of any website. Google developed a rating system called the Google Pagerank which scores a website from a zero to a ten - a ten being the most important site.
Some internet marketers found that PageRank is not that important. The fact is that you get a disclosed ranking that you can view using online tools and the Google toolbar. Yet Google has a ranking for your site that can vary from day to day depending on the way they calculate the importance of your website.
Google calculates the pagerank of a website using a mathematical formula. They are very secretive about the way they calculate which site is better than others because people are trying very hard to get their websites to rank high in the search engines.
Whenever Google would change the way they calculate the authority of a website, the search results are shifted. People that have enjoyed hundreds and thousands of free traffic from having a number one place in the search results for a keyword that is searched very often may find that suddenly they get nearly no more traffic. Suddenly their income may go done from thousands of dollars a day to hundreds of dollars or less.
No one really needs to know what the formula is that Google uses for calculating page rank. Since the obvious is mostly correct I can tell you some of what is important for your website to rank high in the search engines.
Natural backlinks are linking from websites with a high page rank and also from websites that has no importance to the websites. Remember that when you submit articles to article submission sites. Do not discard the sites with a zero pagerank, as they have a very important balancing effect.
The more the types of sites that the backlinks come from relate to a situation of normal backlink building from people that link to a site as a quality resource on a specific topic, the better.
Different websites are hosted on different website servers around the world, each using a block IP addresses from the pool available all over the world. If all the links comes from a too tightly focused grouping of these blocks then it may trigger the search engines to believe that the links are made intentionally to gain page rank.
Search engines love lots of pages of content that is growing natural. Adding a thousand web pages a day may flag the growth factor as unnatural. Adding ten pages or less every day could be considered as natural.
A normal keyword density will show the search engines that there are related words in your content but not so much that your content is mostly keywords. When you write about a topic, try to widen your focus. Instead of just focusing on the keyword, try to focus on maybe 3 or 7 ideas that are about the keyword.
Quality content brings a natural flood of traffic. Since traffic towards any website is a known factor, Google may also determine your PageRank depending on the amount of traffic your website get on average.
